EIT Food Trust Report shows little faith in food system integrity

The Integrity Talks

The EIT Food Trust Report shows how little faith we have in the food system and food product integrity. More concrete: less than 50% of Europeans trust the integrity of the food system. The lack of trust stands in the way of making healthier food choices, Foodlog concludes. A new pan-European study with 20,000 consumers was released recently. The survey was conducted among 20,326 consumers from eight European countries. Making the food system more sustainable requires consumer involvement. Being open, thus being honest and providing all relevant information and being careful, thus acting in the public interest and listen to what the consumer has to say and last, being competent and having the necessary know how are all essential to supporting consumer involvement indeed.
